Fernando Alvarenga

Fernando is the “accidental” Founder of Happy Code Club, a Kids’ Coding and Robotics Afterschool Learning model that emphasizes Fun Learning as a way to inspire kids to learn Computational Thinking. In his prior life Fernando worked in the IT Support industry for over 20 years. He is an avid hiker and yoga enthusiast. He lives in Stamford, CT with his wife Sara and two teenage boys Eduardo and Lorenzo

Karenna Geno

Hey there, My name is Karenna Geno and I am a student at Central Connecticut State University Studying Elementary and Special Education. I started with Happy Code Club back in December of 2019 and have learned so much about the different coding programs, as well as classroom management. I am looking forward to working on Comida Gratis and seeing the impact it will have on various communities!

Sagar Gulati

Sagar is a medical student at the UConn School of Medicine. After graduating from the University of Rochester in December '19, he was an instructor for Happy Code Club, where he fell in love with building positive relationships in the surrounding communities. He is excited to have the opportunity to build this platform and create positive change, and looks forward to seeing it progress.

Brittany De Jesus

Brittany is a student at High Point University studying Elementary and Special Education. She has been a part of the Happy Code Club team since February 2017. She is very passionate about teaching and her role at Happy Code Club. She is now super excited to help Comidas Gratis grow and serve families in hundreds of different locations.
